Doing Good it seems as if our Stock is rising We placed about 4 records in the last month so we’re feeling pretty good.
I can imagine with the success you guys stay busy?
We have always stayed busy perfecting our craft so it’s great that people are starting to hit us up more to work.
How did you two meet(Ryan being from Las Vegas & Smitty from Detroit)?
Thru mutual friends almost too crazy to tell the whole story.
What do you feel has been the biggest obstacle so far?
Getting everyone to pay attention to what you are doing it’s one thing to have the email addy’s of AnR’s and send them but it’s not easy to get them to listen with an open mind to what you’re doing.
You have produced tracks for Nicki Minaj, Plies, The Lonely Island and many more. What changed after that?
More phone call’s/Photoshoots/Press, just More Action in general. You don’t have to look for work as much. People find you when you’re associated with talent such as Nicki Minaj.
We interviewed RSonist from the Heatmakers and he said networking is just as important as producing in todays market. Do you feel this is true in your case?
Definitely. Our network is responsible for us getting a cut on Nickii. We have a studio on Melrose in Hollywood and alot of people are in and out. Our homie young Lo Came thru with ScaffBeezy…shouts out to both of them. And thru that we started that relationship and the rest is history…We really make an effort to be as visible as we can we meet close to 10 new people everyday.
There was a time where producers were receiving $100,000 to $250,000 for one track. Do you thin the game with comeback to those days?
Proabably not…most kids have are going to have Logic setups before they ever touch a real instrument. It’s only getting easier to make beats. So value is lower. I do think for of us who can actually play real instruments and those of us who are visionaries and are willing to develop artist in the game will be well compensated but not to that extent.

What is the one thing in this industry you could go without?
Thats funny a year ago I would have said politics…but politics can be beneficial. Alot of politics are working in our favor now.
Who would you like to work with next?
Jay-Z Beyonce Rihanna Rick Ross Katy Perry/ The usual producers hit list lol…And we’d love to start developing artist for labels and eventually have our own imprint.
What is your definition of a Beatmaker vs Producer?
A beatmaker is anyone with a setup who can put sounds together and make a beat . A producer may never touch the equipment and deliver a hit record. He may just assemble all the neccessary people in the studio. I feel like Kanye West is really good at that. Although he can actually get on an MPC and make a beat. He’s even doper at putting all the right people in the room to make something revolutionary. Thats why he’s always ahead of the curve.
Any advice for up and coming producers?
Keep Working…and try to find your niche’ that was something we had to do early on. It’s nice to do every kind of beat and explore thingscreatively, but i feel it’s even better to zero in on a sound and build from there. Also keep working…oh yeah I said that already.
How can people looking for production get ahold of you guys?
